Stonington Harbor Yacht Club

Welcome to the Stonington Harbor Yacht Club!  Founded in 2002, the Clubhouse is located in historic Stonington Borough at the entrance to Stonington Harbor.  We are a year-round club offering a wide variety of both water and land-based activities as well as extensive event facilities.  We invite you to learn more about us by exploring our website.

Stamford Yacht Club

The Stamford Yacht Club was organized on Thursday, October 16, 1890.  The incorporators were William A. Lottimer, James D. Smith, William W. Skiddy, Albert C. Hall, Walter M. Smith, W.L. Brooks, A.M. Hurlbutt, Schuyler Merritt, Archibald H. Smith, Henry K. McHarg, James I. Raymond, and Samuel Fessenden, all of Stamford. The Club’s earliest members were active people living in interesting times. Saugatuck Harbor Yacht Club

Saugatuck Harbor Yacht Club, located at the mouth of the Saugatuck River in Westport, Connecticut, was founded in 1959. The club has about 200 member families with 160 boats each having its own slip.   The split between sailboats and power boats is about even. Sachem Head Yacht Club

The Sachem’s Head Yacht Club is located on the Connecticut shore of Long Island Sound, in Guilford, Connecticut. The clubhouse near the Thimble Islands, serves an active racing fleet and is a summer base for families and juniors involved in sailing, swimming and tennis. The club was founded in 1896.

Riverside Yacht Club

On the evening of May 25, 1888 George I. Tyson, a prominent summer resident of Riverside and an enthusiastic yachtsman, invited 10 of his friends to meet with him at his home to consider and act upon his plan to establish a yacht club in the community.
