Business name : Baldwin Yacht Club

The Baldwin Yacht Club has approximatey 130 member families. The majority live in southeastern Connecticut or Rhode Island but some live as far away as Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We share a love of boating on eastern Long Island Sound and environs. The Baldwin fleet presently consists of about 60% sailboats and 40% power boats.

We have a busy schedule of on-the-water events typically scheduled every other weekend from our season Commissioning Memorial Day weekend at the Mystic Seaport to our closing event Columbus Day weekend in Hamburg Cove.  Some are weekend events and during holiday weekends they can be three or four days.  We also have a two week annual cruise in the waters of Fisher’s Isand, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

BYC also has several social gatherings for club members during the off season, including a winter rendezvous in New England snow country and one in Florida for the snowbirds.  April is our formal Dinner Dance normally held at the US Coast Guard Academy Officer’s Club.

A unique feature of the Baldwin Yacht Club are the moorings we maintain in various harbors such as Block Island, Stonington Harbor, North Cove and Hamburg Cove on the Connecticut River and West Harbor, Fisher’s Island and Montauk, NY. These moorings are available for Club members throughout the boating season.
