The Old Greenwich Yacht Club welcomes all Greenwich residents with an interest in boating – regardless of knowledge, ability or boat ownership. From the experienced to new participants, anyone wishing to make the most of boating on the Long Island Sound will find a family oriented home port at OGYC.
Established in 1943, OGYC provides the opportunity for town residents to join in one of the area’s most popular activities. For a modest membership fee, Greenwich residents have access to educational, sporting and social events that enhance skills and promote fellowship among those with an interest in boating. The foundation of OGYC is its membership and their volunteering spirit.
The season begins with Commissioning Day in May and continues with Sundowners on summer weekends, weekly racing and other activities and continues through the fall and winter with Sunday open houses and the Change of Watch ceremony.
