The Spring Race Series had great fun in the breeze this past Saturday. Laurie had us doing a super fun figure 8 course which provided plenty of variables and excitement for the fleet. Blue Parrot came out to play with the regulars this week – we hope to see more boats out as the temperatures rise. The group meets for lunch at Striker’s Pub after each race – keep an eye on us – lunch time is up to the wind!

The winds were up for Oct 18 Fall Series race last week! Sustained SE 27 knots with gusts over 35! Everyone had their jacklines & harnesses out for the fun!
Kestrel, Kindred Spirit & Sovind had a blast in the big winds and some sizable waves near Blubber Bay. Sovind had to withdraw after shredding their jib. It was an exhilarating day on the water and everyone was still buzzing after racing. Well done Kindred Spirit and Kestrel for completing the big triangle in big conditions! ….they have a race rule question for Terry…we think Kindred Spirit won. ;0)
Yesterday’s forecast didn’t materialize….Kindred Spirit, Una, Sovind, & Séance spent an hour getting across the line and the first 500 yards before the NW breeze showed up. Up to the mill, out to the mid channel mark, downwind to Penticton Street and back to Willingdon.
Una took line honors and the race….again! Great sailing by Monique & Laurie!
