Founded in 1946, the Elkhorn Yacht Club is one of the best kept secrets on the Pacific Coast. The club, with its beautiful, secluded setting in Moss Landing’s north harbor channel, is an ideal location for catching a stunning sunset, or any social function.

Our yacht club extends reciprocal membership privileges to other recognized yacht clubs all over the world, offering traveling sailors and cruisers the opportunity to tie up at our guest dock, enjoy a hot shower, a meal prepared in our galley, or refreshments and socializing with our members in the club bar.

The local community of Moss Landing, halfway between the tourist meccas of Santa Cruz and Monterey, offers visitors and tourists a cornucopia of delights to pique their interest. Kayak rentals to tour the pristine waters of the Elkhorn Slough, antiquing in the local shops, dropping into one of the fine local restaurants for dinner, or just relaxing in front of the fire in our Hearth Room with live jazz bands on Friday nights, all available within walking distance of the club. The adventurous tourist may wish to take a short journey down the coast to visit the wonders of the Monterey Peninsula, or even take a wine tour in the Santa Cruz mountains.
