The Loch Lomond Yacht Club was established on August 11, 1961 by 21 members. They gathered together in Fred Manley’s Boat Shop at the Loch Lomond Marina and held the very first club meeting.

Our first Opening Day on the Bay was led by Commodore Emmett Stevenson. The clubhouse was completed in August 1964, and today our membership averages 85-100 members.

The purpose of the Loch Lomond Yacht Club is to foster and encourage yachting and boating. We try to encourage the knowledge and efficiency of our members and others in the science of navigation, including the proper handling and maintenance of cruisers and yachts. Additionally, the club promotes the social interests of it’s members.
