Ahoy! Welcome to the Long Beach Singles Yacht Club (or LBSYC, formerly known as the “Long Beach Singles Sailing Association”), a volunteer organization formed in 1985 that promotes sailing, boating, socializing and preservation of our ocean resources.

We’re the largest Yacht Club for singles in the Southern California area with many events and gatherings. We’re also a member of the Southern California Yachting Association (SCYA), which gives our members access to official sailboat racing events and reciprocal privileges at certain other member Yacht Clubs. Membership in LBSYC is open to any person of acceptable character and personality, whether single or married.

About 35% of our members are boatowners (both power and sail) and 65% are “crew”. No boating experience is needed; only a desire to sail, be on the water and have fun with other like-minded people.

Come join us for a variety of both land and water-based activities and social events. We do a variety of sail and powerboating, raftups, trips to Catalina and other local sailing destinations, parties and dances.
