Ponus Yacht Club was founded in 1911 and has been a staple on the western branch of the Stamford harbor for over 100 years. The club has matured over the years but the basic premise is the same. Ponus is a place for hard working middle class men, women and their families to socialize and share their enthusiasm for boating, fishing, and the current events of the day.

The club boasts a waterfront deck for lunch or an afternoon cocktail – the bar opens at 11:00 AM every day of the year. During the boating season, we serve lunch every day of the week and we are happy to cater and set up lunches to go. Dinner is available year round Thursday to Saturday evenings with a menu that changes weekly, highlighting seasonal specials.

We also offer a range of catering options in our Banquet Room, which holds 100 people with the dance floor and 130 without. Ponus has hosted weddings, birthdays, showers and business meetings. With a wonderful harbor view and a spacious deck (BBQ available), our Banquet Room is an excellent venue for special events. Our Banquet Menu offers many options to tailor a menu to your taste.

If you’re traveling by boat, we have dock and dine slips available to accommodate yachts as large as 100 feet and we offer transient docks for non-members at $2.50/foot.
