Please join us for the Fall, 2015 Splicing Class! Instructor Bill Ennis will teach you how to splice eyes into double braid and three-strand rope, as well as a few other techniques. The session will be held at T and A Supply (624 W Potter Dr) from 1100 to 1600 hours, Saturday, 31 October.

If you missed the splicing class, never fear. The instructional materials used in the class have been posted on the Splicing page. There is a lot of good information on splicing double braid, as well as a PowerPoint presentation on splicing double braid.

Snow loads sink boats! We have a new site page that explains the dangers of the snow loads that our boats are accumulating. Get a cover or get a shovel!

Local Cruising Guide: “Cruising Western Southcentral Alaska, Kenai Fjords”, includes lots of local information about weather forecasting, safety, the phenomenon of williwaws and katabatic winds, as well as information about places to anchor and passes in Kenai Fjords National Park. The guide is printed in color with color chart insets. Weather and website links have all been updated as of September, 2010.
