Kapsejlads er en vigtig del af klubbens aktiviteter, og vi gør en dyd ud af, at vores sejlladser bliver afviklet efter reglerne, og i overensstemmelse med godt sømandskab. Vi sejler efter Dansk Sejlunions handikap reglement, og vi kræver derfor et gyldigt målerbrev, for at båden kan deltage. På bestyrelsens og egne vegne vil jeg ønske alle klubbens medlemmer og andre med tilknytning til klubben en glædelig jul og et lykkebringende nytår. 2015 blev på mange måder det jubilæumsår vi havde ønsket. Vejret kunne nok have artet sig bedre, og vi kunne måske også have vundet et eller to mesterskab unimportant, men selve jubilæet, med lowland, fest og gathering var helt som det skulle være! Im Dezember 1973 gründete Wolfgang Bente den Bordesholmer Segelverein, Der Verein hatte anfangs keine eigene Steganlage direkt am See. In den ersten Jahren waren wir Gastlieger am Steg des Angelvereins. 1980 konnte der BoSV umziehen in die Eidersteder Strasse auf ein Pachtgrundstück. Eine Steganlage konnte gebaut werden und mit den Jahren kam ein Carport als Ersatz für ein Vereinsheim hinzu. Von Anbeginn wurden jedes Jahr 3 Regatten gesegelt und intensive Jugendarbeit geleistet.
